Just a measure of scotch / rum whatever with warm milk. Goes great with West End Draught at 0650 8)

The CLG service was excellent. The Mitcham Band sounded great, and they had 3 pipers too, who played at the service then back at the hall during breakfast.

Martin Hamilton-Smith was there proudly in his SAS Beret, and I think the crowd was around 800 if not more. Really hard to judge. The RSL was packed after the service, but the bars staff did well to ensure the beers flowed.

5 kegs in the first hour they went through.

The "Two Up" was going well, when I left.... :)

*EDIT: Apparently close to 700 - 800 people attended* :)

Disgraceful effort at the Yankalilla dawn service. Where do i start!!!

The PA System was too far away from the crowd so it was difficult to hear over the squawking of the flock of correllas and the MC had to be prompted to speak closer to the microphone half way through his address. It was still a challenge to hear the speakers.

Then when it came time for the last post which they use a cd for through PA system, the crowd got the last third of it for whatever reason and then the cd skipped or did something that lead to us going straight to the national anthem which concluded the service.

No proper last post!
No one minute silence!
No reveille!

I heard later in the day that there were technical problems last year too.

It's not rocket science. If they've got problems with the tech stuff then get a 11 yr old kid to supervise it. They'd have a better idea on the PA system.

Went to semaphore yesterday morning, have gone to the last 3-4 there now.
Each year numbers seem to increase.
Thought it was a goo service, the speech Gary Johnasen(mayor) said started off well but seemed to drag on towards the end.
All in all was a good service.

Later in the day went and watched my local team play a Anzac day clash against Flinders Park, as I drove along bower Rd, looked great, both sides were lined up with officials at the end, and when I go out the car the australian anthem was being sung by Andy Upton. Looked great and sure would have had every player on the ovals hair standing on the back of their necks!!
get on board the thunder train!!!

I was impressed with the turn out at Semaphore, excellent numbers.

A coupla frothies for the brekky at the RSL wasn't a bad way to start the day either
