2007 World Police Fire Games

Has anyone been as yet? My bro is a CIB sarg at Holden Hill and is competing in the games in Basketball for SAPOL. Went to the Powerhouse (or whatever it's called now) and watched a couple of brilliant games today and was really impressed by the talent on display. SAPOL went down to the LAPD (all African Americans bar one) by 5 points - a great effort overall by the SA boys. Hung around to see some of the next game between spain and the new york fire department and was blown away by the shear size of the americans in the fd. Had a chat to some blokes from Montreal who said they were having a blast in Adelaide and they loved how friendly us folk are! aparently a great game of Ice Hockey last night with 12 hitting the sin bin - finals are on Saturday aparently.. check out the official website at http://www.2007wpfg.com for all programme information and get along.. free entry for most events.
RIP my DH 1964 - 2009 - You were one of the best and I miss you

Was walking around the city last night and there were a lot of people from the games everywhere, all built like brick shithouses, and not just the men! Adelaide would have to be the muscle capital of the world at the minute. Was talking to some Russian guy, he couldn't believe how dead the city is at night.
