Spread a generous dollop of Philly on one slice, a blob of jam (Apricot my preference) on the other. Join together and introduce to toasty machine. Close toasty machine. Heat and then remove from heat. Mind the heat. Sprinkle with a little raw sugar, add cream or ice cream and serve. Order the Ab-King Pro.

Funny stuff!

Try it with Nutella too - awesome!

Ham, Cheese and BBQ sauce is a personal fav too Heater. Also substitute ham for metwurst when its around - gold, but don't go near the missus for about 6 hours after having one!!!!

A toastie machine and a BBQ (with a hood) are mans only kitchen essentials IMO. What you can't cook on either of these isn't worth eating!

Parkholme. Some way off of your manor, I imagine. Which one do you work at?

I just spent part of the evening in the Goody Park hotel, discussing Baker's Delight with a bloke who claimed to have run the franchises at Mitcham and at Stirling. Small city - everywhere I turn, I bump into Bakers Delight employees or franchisees. 8)
Yes im only down the road at Gawler BD's  Worked in a few now (mawson lakes, parabanks, gilles plains, dernancourt) Gawler definatly best BD in SA.

As for Brumbies cheddarmites!! They are a piss poor rip off of ours. Truth is most of brumbies bakers are former BDs bakers. Werent good enough to stay in BDs so brumbies take them!

Baker's Delight should be called 'Baker's' Delight or Shake-and-Baker's Delight. The McDonald's of Bakeries.

Qualified bakers? Any mug with enough capital can buy and run a Baker's Delight. They are becoming the scourge of country towns and even in parts of the city where they move in and either damage or wipe out traditional family bakeries. I know a guy who owns 2 Baker's Delight franchises and he gloats about that fact. He's rolling in it but he certainly doesn't have a Bachelor of Bagelology. And he employs plenty of pimply faced teens.

Well, if you've got the bread... (cringe) ](*,)

You can bet Dollar to Donuts (cringe again)
THAT'S the sort of pissweak pun Baker's Delight Marketing Research would've come up with
as a proposal to potential investors considering starting up a franchise of their own!

I know the type of guys your talking about! They do come in and think they know it all but not all are like that. EG my boss started his apprentaghip 10 years ago, worked his ass off to buy Gawler, Got the found the best bakers he could. Me of course, Ben who is a Les Gillespie Award Winner, (Bakers Apprentice) of the year who is now qualified and we have a female trainee Baker who is very good and hot! We sponser about 10 different junior sporting clubs and a seniors club, we give all our leftover bread to local charities at the end of the day and always look after our customers. Its not our fault customers want a better range and the best quality of products from our bakeries. End Rant!

lizbeff which charities do you donate the bread to?

i used to manage supermarkets and i used to donate all leftover bakery products to old folks homes years ago.

H/O found out about it and i thought this appropriate than throw it in the bin and right it off.

they told me to stop due to the fact that the old folks home would become dependant on our donations and spend their money on other things but when we didnt have anything to give they had no money to buy.

Cant remember the names of the charities. Im never there at end of day. I know there is two from the Gawler area. Our HO encourage us to give to them. The thing is some days we will have heaps of wastage and some days we have none. Bit of a gamble so they dont rely on us, free bread is a bonus for them.
