Doggie these Americans you refer to would be the ones who watch Oprah as well as the Simpsons. The ones with an IQ higher than a tap washer like the space program because it sticks them out there as leading the world in technology.

Space Shuttles are much smaller than commercial airliners though.

Do they still use Boeing 747's to piggy-back them home to base after they land?

Yeah they do and you are partially right. The dimensions are differnt and the shuttle is way smaller than an A380 or B747 but to stand at the back end of the shuttle and look up you could just about drive an airbus fuselage up the backside and only have the ecnomy class hanging out

yes they still piggy back the shuttle on a airliner if it lands in california (NASA second landing strip). It the shuttle lands back at cape canavarel in florida where it launches it doesnt need a piggy back odviuosly

but they all watch when one blows up. This is like F!. Fans watch hoping to see a stack especially at Monte Carlo where there is no room to move.
