Mate, I don't even have my second one home yet and can't figure out how we're going to organise it all!

Not having a dig but this attitude perplexes me.

I sure as hell don't want kids. Does that make me 'selfish?' No, it's just my choice.

And yes, my attitude perplexes friends and family back home...

I was 24 when my first was Born and 25 when numbers 2 and 3 arrived. I wouldn't change anything and i am certainly happy i have had my kids what i would think most consider early.

It is an individual choice thing though and each to their own there are pros and cons of both sides of the story.

I don't think there is an ideal age to have kids. It's definitely up to the individual. I had my first child at 20 and my fifth at 26. I'm not fussed at what age I become a grandma as long as my kids are responsible parents.

As everyone has said, it's a personal decision.

Mum had me @ 18 (unplanned) and my 2 brothers quickly followed - it's been great to have a young mum. That said, I look back on my childhood with adult eyes and I can remember times when she was on struggle street.

Personally I didn't meet 'the one' till I was 25.

5 years to get married, settle into a solid job with a good income, and go on the 'pre-baby' overseas holiday.

I'm 30 now, my wife is 28, and we're at the stage where we are looking at starting a family.

I really is just a combination of personal preference, and how the 'life' cards fall IMO.
