I could bolt a 289 straight in but with drums all round and no power steer that might be a bit much.

In order I'd like :

Front discs
Power steering

I don't think I'll ever swap the engine out though, value in keeping it matching. If the right XD/XE came along I'd probably upgrade it.

This is how I know I'm old, an XD is now considered a sought after vintage car...

Surely they've worked out a way to stop the door handles breaking?
