One of the more interesting Michigan races. Some wildcard altering moments especially with the troubles to Gordon.
Ambrose was solid & came home 5th, hopefully keeping his momentum going for what is his best chance at a wildcard birth this week.

Pumped for this weekends race, they've ground down the progressive banking in an attempt to bring back the old beating & banging style. Think we could see some flared tempers this week.

Tony stewart on pole for atlanta.

I hope Stewart and kenseth continue their little dispute, as Stewart came out after the incident with kenseth saying he would use any opportunity to get him back. But since then, on NASCAR now, stewart has said he has made a truce with kenseth on that matter ;) :D

Denny Hamlin doubles up in Atlanta.

Last race before the chase with 1 wildcard spot still up for grabs, but it will most likely be Kyle Busch that takes it barring a disaster or Gordon, Ambrose or Logano taking the chequered this weekend.
Gordon would require to finish around 12 spots ahead of Busch without taking any bonus points.

In other news, the worst kept secret in NASCAR has been confirmed with Kenseth moving to JGR in the #20.
Logano, who was only offered a part time Sprint cup/full time Nationwide programme in 2013, into a full time programme in 2014 jumped ship & moved to the second Penske ride (#22).

yep, i would react like that when that wanker continually drives into me, runs me over at martinsville, cuts down my tyre at talladega, runs into me on monday,........yep clint is a great driver of NASCAR, best out there...

There has been more than that over Jeffs career, and plenty of other hits a taking each other out from other drivers between other teams, i.e. Kevin harvick and Kyle busch recently, little do people forget, Kyle busch drove down (SPEEDING) pit road, to catch up to kevin after the race, and kevin just got out of his car, and kyle rams his car, nearly running over some people.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lxtwh_o_SZc

That is pure class  , and worse then Jeff, at least he is decent enough to leave it out on the track instead of in the pits where more people can get hurt.

Carl Edwards flipping Casey Mears INTO the fence at 200 miles an hour......that is pure class also, hmmmmmmm

yep, pure class Jeff :D

Wait, you are comparing it to other incidents that were just as bad & saying he is still class? :?
The only reason Gordon didn't take it into the pits is because neither car was in condition to get there...

It was a dangerous act, pure & simple. Sure they were racing hard & Clint made a mistake/took it too far, that happens at the end of races on short tracks.
As for the list of incidents Bowyer v Gordon, I don't think you can add the Martinsville incident to the list as that was just as much Ryan Newman's fault as anyone else IMO and who'd of thunk that there'd be contact at Talledega?!?!

I'm no Bowyer fan, but he has had a really good year since transferring form RCR & helped turn around the underperforming MWR outfit.
He also showed some an impressive sprint back to try & 'talk' with Gordon!

I'm sure NASCAR will use the subsequent brawl for a bit of publicity & drama tho!

no, i am pointing out that the incident on sunday was not the most dangerous, nor the worse, with the examples of what i brought up.

For someone to flip another driver into the fence at 200 miles an hour, nearly putting him and his car into the crowd on the other side, is far more dangerous. When you get continually run into , and put out of races by the same driver, what would you do? Just wave and walk away with a happy face.
I think you will find that Ryan Newman being involved in the martinsville incident , yes he was, but Stewart Haas racing, who Ryan newman currently drives for ,is part of the Hendrick team (well affiliation, however its spelled) and both Jeff and ryan are part of this company, so i very much doubt he would do anything to a team mate........

Yes, what jeff gordon did was stupid, and he got a $100,000 fine for it, but there is or has been far more dangerous incidents then this, which people tend to forget when something like this comes out of the blue.

At 4 championships, and 86 race wins, i would call that (Jeff Gordon) pure class in his sport.......what would you call it??
