Luggage

Just wondering what everyone does for luggage.

It has been almost 10 years since I have travelled overseas, and the restrictions seem a lot different/tighter.

We'll be pretty much only travelling through Qantas, as we are doing their Frequent Flyer Program. Their domestic check-in luggage size is 140cm (L+H+W). We actually borrowed a suitcase for a recent Qantas flight to Sydney in January was bigger than 150cm, but it was not an issue at all.

We're hoping to get suitcases for our upcoming oversea trip that add up to 147cm. Do you think that will be an issue for any domestic flights we use them for in the future with Qantas?

All goes by weight. Unless it’s an abnormally large suitcase they won’t even check. All suitcases sold in stores can pretty much be taken on any airline.
Carry on luggage is the one that is monitored more for size
