Travel the world for free?

This bloke claims to have been able to travel the world for free by doing odd, and I mean odd, jobs to get by.

My question is don't most countries require proof of funds to enter and also documents to be able to work in that country?

Surely a country like Canada that is listed isn't allowing him into the country without sufficient funds to support himself?

That's a super impressive story, but it's not really a 'holiday' is it!
In terms of the doc's required to work in a country, it sounds like he was travelling purely as a visitor, so wouldn't have needed a work permit. The jobs he was doing were all cashies
