Anyone have much experience in Tahiti/French Polynisia.
My mother in law has had a stroke (travelling by herself) and we're currently organising my missus and her brother to go there so would be grateful on any info about the country.
From what I've briefly read it seems a bloody nice place with medical care similar to Australia with the only problem being they seem to speak French.

Its a great place to go but very very expensive

Cheers. The missus is back now, she said it was very expensive and she can't see herself ever wanting to go back there as she compared it to Thailand which is much prettier, cheaper and has much nicer food. They didn't like any of the food there except for stuff from the bakery and had to virtually live of McDonalds. Mother in law will be coming back later in the week, it was lucky she had the stroke at Tahiti and not the USA as the bill was 15k, that would have been about 150k in the US.

Right now, I can recommend Kota Kinabalu. Great place!
