RandB's photo has got me thinking about Animals (in the wild) would love to see a grisly in the wild.
What is the most impressive / unique you have seen whilst travelling? I'm sure the African travellers will like this one.

My top 2:
A toucan in South America
Cassowaries in NTH QLD , this is close to home this one, Very impressive none the less!! especially when you come face to face with one in the rainforrest.

Was looking bloody hard for a Dodo in Mauritius

Brush turkeys in Brisbane

Couple of my faves:

On the Ghanaian south coast, somewhere west of Dixcove on the beach at night, I watched a leatherback sea turtle lay and bury its eggs in the sand before crawling back into the water and disappearing.

Watching the Irrawaddy Dolphins swim up to our boat as we floated around near the end of the Mekong River in Cambodia.

Also rating a mention is laughing at my partner as she was being chased by a male baboon

where in Laos was the elephant?
saw some in the south indian highlands which was good!, couldn't spot the elousive tiger though.

Rhino's in Nepal.

Wolf in Wyoming.

went there this year..awesome... obviously shamu has passed on but they did do the shamu slam...

also went to the zoo... best zoo ive ever been to... bit weird when they say the koala is from australia and tasmania!!! arent we one country???

We did a full day trek to the Nong Khiaw Waterfalls, and the bastards had walked through the area the previous day and completely tore up the walking track, it looked like a quagmire.

The trek guide was a little worried as he knew they were still around and the were !

They'd wandered off the path, but we made sure we kept our distance and went off the track, and observed them for a while.

Was a bloody hot trek that one too ! Mind you the waterfall at the end was just beautiful !

Not as exotic, but seen in Port Hedland.

haha...not going to happen...the sofa is soon to disappear under dustsheets when I begin Op Builder's Mate and start decorating etc. Could probably point you all in the direction of the Findhorn Foundation...it's a bit closer to Nessie and I think they do accommodation so I'm sure they'd love to have you
