Doesn't matter where you go, just make sure the room has a King size bed and a spa ... you can thank me later. :-bd

My wife and I honeymooned in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland at a place called Montville. It's like a French Hahndorf, and is chock full of secluded B&B's to choose from.

From there you can do day trips down to the coast, and there's plenty of rainforest walks to do as well. Or you could just stay in of course and make good use of the facilities dedja outlined. ;)

WLF, we went to Raro in 2006 and loved it. We had the opportunity to go to Aitutaki but didn't take it up, only cos we'd paid up in full to stay at Raro.

It's an awesome place. But don't expect massive touristy things to do. Few things you must do.... go snorkelling in the lagoon outside the Pacific Resort at Raro. Crystal clear water, warm, just sensational.

http://www.pacificresort.com/Rarotonga/ ... =459_.html

Also, check out Trader Jacks on the beach, the Yellow Hibiscus, The Spaghetti House and Stefano's. All great food!

We also had a hit of golf on the island, just near the airport. The first tee is a crackup.

There is also a pub on the opposite side from the Pacific Resort which has AFL, cricket (ESPN) etc, etc. We only found it on the second last day!!!!

We are going to go back when the kids get a bit older (now nearly 4 and 1.5).

The good part about the island is that its secluded. We liked the fact that everything was on Raro time (ie, no one was in a hurry). For example, if some shop said it opened at 10am, don't expect it to be open at 10am or even 10.30 for that matter. Service was also on Raro time, however they were VERY friendly and laid back. Just right for the honeymoon!

Enjoy mate.

Las Vegas. Great atmosphere, party mode all the time, great place for a honeymoon - worked for me, anyway.

Just got back from my honeymoon in Europe and the Maldives. Would definitely recommend the Maldives - it was absolutely amazing and looked even better than the pictures in travel brochures. The water was crystal clear, perfect weather, overwater bungalow, plenty of fish, rays, etc to see when snorkelling.

Four Seasons Kuda Huraa is a 30 minute speedboat ride from Male (the capital). It is pricey, but well worth it and a once in a lifetime experience.
