Clue: The photo has been snapped from the back of a ferry as it was leaving the port.

I don't really know, but the scenery looks like the southern Mediterannean coast?

Near Gibraltar or southern Spain? One of the ports to Morocco?

Is it? I was hoping someone would tell me actually

I was incredibly hungover that day after having free reign of a friend's Irish Bar the night before so the memory is a little hazy. Although, I do distinctly remember waking up in an old folks home and having breakfast with them - that I won't forget :))

R&B was closest. The photo is taken from the ferry just as we were leaving Algeciras.

I said southern Med coast. I meant southern Europe Med coast, of course.

Haven't been to Algeciras, only to the towns a bit further east.

I'll put another one up tonight, but anyone else feel free to do so first.

Has anyone read the Lonely Planet description for Algeciras
Basically describes it as one of the scummiest places on the planet

Just around the coast, Tarifa is spectacular. One of my favourite places in the world.

You won't know this town, I'd think, so country and near the area will do.

No again, but try somewhere in between.

I'm only looking for a country and general area.

I was originally going to say the architecture looks kinda German, but as you've pointed out it's a country between the two put forward above I'm thinking it might be somewhere in Austria?

Correct, Quichey.

It's a town called Zell-am-See, a very central place if you're travelling by rail in Austria.

There's a lovely little sidetrip to a town called Krimml nearby.
