i went in feb this year... stayed at wild bills gambling hall... sounds pretty crappy i know but its cheap and it was in a perfect location... mid strip, cross the road from the bellagio. perfect spot on the strip. could see the fountains from my room... room was good, nothing like more expensive hotes, but you wont spend much tim in there anyways. bit smokey in the gambling part thats the same as all casino's... would stay there again for sure... i was very caustious when i booked it, but was very happy with it all... especially when you play on the floor, service was really good... cheap table, probably the cheapest on the strip... $5 black jack tables....
are you goin with mates??? or missus?
how long and when are you goin???

strongly recomend visiting freemount street... pretty cool... also the gun store, cheap as and you can shot pretty much any gun you want...
love the place... was there over superbowl weekend... awesome

Thanks for that, will check it out on the net. Going over for part of our Honeymoon. Doing the full on tourist stuff like Disney Land and Vegas. Also want to head out to the Grand Canyon.

And like you say, wont be spending much time in the room, so doesn't have to be 5 star stuff. As long as its central to most things on the strip I reckon I'll be happy.

We were originally only looking at 2-3 nights there, but others are telling us we will need 4-5 min. Especially if we are using a day to head out to Grand Canyon?? So not sure how many yet, just can't get my head around how much there is to see/do there??

yeah 4-5 days would be spot on... well bills is probably the best place or bally's which is next door. which i heard was ok.
Grand Canyon was awesome, i flew into it in a chopper. cost a bit but totally worth it. on that tour you fly over the hoover dam aswell...
i went on my honeymoon too. i went to other states aswell, NYC, DC, Orlando, Vegas, San Fran, San Diego, Anaheim and LA...
if you are goin to any of those places would be more then happy if you want any other accom info...

I stayed at the Luxor (the pyramid). Only 500m down the road on the strip past the MGM Grand. Good price, great rooms. Also did the Chopper ride into Grand Canyon, pretty impressive. Best steakhouse ever is Smith & Wollenskys. Expensive but amazing, worth evry cent.
