Ben Graham has been offered a 7 year/ $7 million contract by the New York Jets.......and turned it down. If he waits till the 1st of March, the Jets are having a big list clean out, and will have much more money in their salary cap. He will probably end up with a 6 year/ $10 million contract. Not bad for about 32 minutes work per season.

Holy crap, nice work Benny!

His figures have been very good this year especially considering he does half of his kicking in windy (and sometimes snowring) New York.

Must be considered a hot commodity to knock that back as punters are usually considered expendable if they are thought too be asking too much.

I'm surprised he hasn't been approached by anyone else either.

The Jets finished bottom of their table this year.
I can imagine the big cleanout they'll be having.

Constance, Pennington is still there but he only took 83 snaps for the year which was a few less than Vinny Testaverde (who actually ended up having a good career despite the ridicule he received after his first six seasons in Tampa Bay - '87-'92). The main starter was a 3rd year Pro called Brooks Bollinger.

You forgot to mention Pennington played so little as he was injured early in the season and required surgery.

Ben Graham has signed an extension to his contract. Amount/Length remains undisclosed. He may have signed a 3 month deal.
