i think watching the wrestling in the 70's/80's & early 90's is better than what we see now, what do you think (i already know wedgies answer  )

The Eighties (Though entertaining) were pretty cheesy & corny as Hell!
Still it brought us greats like the British Bulldogs, Hart Foundation, Iron Sheik, Terry Funk etc.
Sorry Bayman, I know how you feel...
But back then & specially now HULKAMANIA SUCKS!!!!
I can't stand that 'All American' flag waving xenophobic, jingoistic garbage!
The 'Attitude' era of 1997-2001 was more realistic, edgy, no stupid gimmicks & took more risks.
With the battle for ratings between WWF & WCW we were treated to a quality product
from both promotions constantly being in competition with one another.
After all, it was the era of The Rock, Mankind, NWO, Luche Libre, Undertaker, Raven's Flock, DX & of course my favourite

'STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN 3:16' :drinkers: :finga:

Nowadays since WCW's demise the WWF/WWE have gotten complacent being on top for so long.
Subjecting us to brainless, slapdash crap (ie. Cena versus K-Fed) not to mention WWE/ECW :vom:
If TNA picks up (more than just PPVs) I'm hoping healthy competition will once again give us what we want...
Coz at the moment it's as, if not more-so crappier than the braindead early to mid 90's!

The best thing to happen to 'rasslin IMO was when they decided to drop 'Kayfabe' & admit that it was fake!
Thus no longer insulting our intelligence so I voted 'Post 1995'

What? They tried to convince people it was real? Even Americans aren't that stupid!

It's hard to say what's better. So many great wrestlers ether side of 1995.

Definately the golden WCW era from the mid 90s to late 90s.
Starting to turn around again now with TNA.
Mid 80s was a great era too, I even went to a couple of WWF shows at Apollo Stadium but nothing (except maybe TNA in the not to distant future) suprasses the great days of WCW.

They played in two different eras. OK - bad example (Bradman's average speaks for itself), but hopefully you get my point.

That is what I was trying to get at, it's so hard to choose. Pre 1995 there's Ric Flair and Hogan and Since 1995, there's Stone Cold, the Rock and Triple H.

WHAT I WAS TRYING TO GET AT IS THE ENJOYMENT/ENTERTAINMENT IN DIFFERENET ERAS, I PERSONALLY LIKE 'THE CARTOON BIGGER THAN LIFE CHARACTERS' OF THE 80'S RATHER THAN WHAT I SEE TODAY, THAT IS MY OPINION AS IT IS 'MORE' OF AN SOAP OPERA THAN JUST WRESTLING IN TODAYS SHOWS (MORE OUTSIDE STUFF THAN JUST THE STORY & THEN THE BATTLE)

You omit a few big names here. Shawn Michaels deserves to be mentioned in that company as does Kurt Angle but you missed the most obvious the great Bret Hart. Gimmicks aside Angle and Hart are easily in a league of their own.

Sure I left some big names out. Here's a couple more. The American Dream, Arn Arnderson, Terry Funk, Harly Race, Piper.
