The Age is reporting that Channel 10 have won the rights to broadcast the US Masters Golf.
10 years ago nine were the sports masters with F1, Golf, tennis, cricket etc
It seems the other stations are determined to hit nine where it hurts most, out bid them for sports events to deny them their traditional viewers......i.e. blokes who like sport

So whats the point? Are you not a Howard supporter who wants trade competition?

IMHO give all sport coverage to the Bruce on seven.

Kerry Packer has since shuffled off the mortal coil leaving Nine's 'Wide World of Sports'
legacy in the hands of one Edward McGuire!

I certainly think this will be a good thing as Nine has been starting to treat the coverage of the four majors (of which the US Masters is one) with more and more contempt as time has gone on. Why you have to have delayed telecasts of events that are on in the middle of the night anyway is beyond me and when they are putting on reruns of a 35 year old movie that no ones heard of in favour of the British Open, you know it's time for a change.

Worst commentator ever. We will have to put up with him for the next few years too.

I think Ive said this before but the classic was this years US Open when 9 shared the rights with FOX and come Monday (final Round) morning 9 went with the Today show instead of the golf....and Geoff Ogilvy won it so they kept crossing to it and doing 1/2 1/2...disgrace
