Big Phil wrote:Was down Outer Harbour today for work and pulled into where the Torrens Arm Markets are at the wharf there for a break...
Watched a guy for about 45 minutes wrestle with the biggest bloody stingray I have ever seen in my life...
The guy got it to the surface a couple of times, then it would dive down to the bottom again.
The monster had 2 big barbs on it and at one stage they almost reeled it up, trying to hook it with a couple of bug anchor hooks.
It would have been 4 metres across its wings and 2 or 3 metres long from tip to tail.
Just as he was winning the battle and about to get it up, his bloody rod snapped clean in half and away it swam, it was amazing.
