Drug Cheats in Sport

Postby country nomad » Tue Oct 16, 2012 8:33 pm

I watched Four Corners last night and I remember back to 1999 when there was a journo wrote a book about the dodgy dealings of Lance Armstrong. It's interesting that much of the content of that book has actually all but been proven now. I find it astonishing to think that an inidvidual seemed to become bigger than the sport for such a long time.

I tend to agree that this Armstrong fiasco will go down in history as the biggest drug scandal in the history of sport. Makes Ben Johnson and Marion Jones seem like schoolkids behind the garden shed having a sly smoke.

So which Armstrong was higher...Lance or Neil?

No to me it is the team aspect of this that hits home.
Clearly cyclists were ahead of the pack and able to "pull the wool" as a TEAM,
NEVER........ NEVER............. TRUST CYCLISTS AGAIN.

CHEATS clearly....... that should be relegated back to an un recognised sport from all concerned.
