Just over 65 mins for me. Previous 4 years had been stuck on 69 minutes, so reasonably happy with improvement. Perfect jogging weather really.

12k, although I read elsewhere online that it used to be 11.88km until the mid 90s.

Saintal, apparently the 97 race was the first at 12km. I remember it finishing on Glenelg oval the year I ran it (96).

Wow, the results back to 96 are on the site, I ran it in 1.01 back in 96! 1.15 in 97, 1.02 in 2008 and 1.07 this year. After seeing that, I'm very keen to break the 1.00 barrier.

Was a beautiful morning for it till the rain came at the Bay and put a bit of dampener of things afterwards.
About 50:30, probably the outside of what I was hoping for.

And I'm in turn envious of people who can do it in 45, let alone 35.
If I can do it anyway can, and your 4 minutes is a pretty good improvement.
Pretty lucky over here with the weather apart from some frosty mornings the suburbs don't get too often. Good for the soul.
Don't envy you running in the hills during winter, i do just enough of that to know my motivation would be shot pretty quickly.

Can I ask what kind of training you did to get that time?

I have only ever run 12kms twice...last year and this years city to bay! I only ever do a max. of 7.5km at one time...I'm guessing I should be incorporating a longer run in my training.

73 mins for me. Started training in June after 10 years resting. 12.23 km according to my gps. My chief motivator ran 45 and got the shits on!

Half marathon in October, that's a challenge for my old legs.
