1960 Gold medalist in the teams three day event, when he discharged himself from hospital to ride the show jumping leg with a broken collar bone. He won Bronze in Mexico city and Montreal.
He was Equestrian coach at Barcelona, Atlanta and Sydney.
His sons and daughter-in-law also competed at the Olympics for Australia.
Another one of the good 'uns has gone to a better place.
