We have an NFL thread and I know I did a college football one. But how about we have one for all American Football news. We can post Australian Grid Iron stuff here as well.
In Australian News the world championships are in Austria in June and the Outback are playing in them.

There is for ME :D

I became a Packers fan when I turned 9 I was in the US and stayed in a hotel in Sheboygan Wisconsin. There was book on the hotel desk the GREEN BAY PACKERS YEARBOOK.

Now I was nine looked at it & thought it said PECKERS instread of PACKERS ... so being both Green & Gold and already a Woodville fan the Green Bay became my team.

... then as NFL came to our TV screens a few years later I found out more about the unique nature of the Packers ... ie publically owned team, small city vs the rest of the US etc and the following stuck.

I am a fellow Packer fan I have gone for them since I was about 10 when the ABC had a game of theirs on. I ended up collecting American Football cards and mainly Packer ones. In recent years I have gone back to my loving of American Football and college football mainly but still love being a cheesehead.
Phil H here is a Wallpaper made by a mate of mine of one of the greatest Packers and one of the greatest Texas Tech Red Raiders of all.

So it comes down between a battle of Cheeseheads and Terrible Towels

Image v Image

Always had a soft spot for the Packers (the first Superbowl I watched was in the mid '90's when Green Bay won it, think it was 1996). However, recently, I've taken a liking to the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL, so there's also a soft spot for the Steelers as well.

I guess for me it's the ideal Superbowl with my two favourite teams playing, and I'll be happy either way with the result. However, my preference this time is for the Steelers.

Why The Steelers win Bruce is what I am asking you. The Steelers have won 6 Superbowls (I know I have a DVD Series on them) to the Packers 3 (1966, 1967 & 1996). I am hoping for a Packers win and will be watching this game after 4 hours sleep then back to bed for another 4 hours LOL.
Here is the Packers Fight Song
Go! You Packers GO!
Hail, hail the gang's all here to yell for you,
And keep you going in your winning ways,
Hail, hail the gang's all here to tell you too,
That win or lose, we'll always sing your praises Packers;
Go, you Packers, go and get 'em,
Go, you fighting fools upset 'em,
Smash their line with all your might,
A touchdown, Packers, Fight, Fight, Fight, Fight!
On, you Green and Gold, to glory,
Win this game the same old story,
Fight, you Packers,
Fight, and bring the bacon home to Old Green Bay.

The main reason I've sided with the Steelers this time is there is already alot of love towards Green Bay, so I thought I'd go against the flow and go with Pittsburgh this time.
