Just wondering if people go for teams from the same city or just a variety.
Personally, I go for Phoenix Suns, Philidelphia Flyers and St Louis Rams.

Detroit Tigers, St Louis Blues & Cincinnati Bengals.

I follow Chicago in the NBA - looking forward to the first game of our season tomorrow.

Don't follow any NHL or NFL teams.. don't even know what is going on half the time in gridiron.

San Francisco (NFL). About the only team i support that has had some success in my lifetime Having said that been average for years now.
Portland (NBA). Been a fan since the Drexler/Porter days. Plently of ups and downs since then.
Florida (NHL). Had a friend in florida, plus the panther connection I guess. Nice logo.

NBA - Minnesota Timberwolves- initially liked the logo, then KG became a favourite...
NHL - Pittsburgh Penguins- they were good when I was a kid LOL
NFL - New Orleans Saints- Loved the logo when I first saw it. They happened to also win the first entire game of NFL I watched.

Lets go further:

MLB- Kansas City Royals- spent 2 weeks in Kansas City and saw a game v LA Angels in 2006. Mate who lives there got me a players cap for nothing. Sold.

College Football- Missouri Tigers- see KC Royals comment, except I didnt manage to get to a game unfortunately. Go Mizzou!

Mine are from all over the place for a variety of reasons.

NBA - 76ers (old man was a lakers fan and the 76ers were big rivals of theirs when I first started follwing NBA in the 80s)

NFL - Bengals (love their outfits and they were around the mark in the mid 80s and my Dad followed the 49ers)

MBL - Houston Asros (I loved the Jetsons)

NHL - Might Ducks because of the movies!

LA Lakers
When the NBA was shown on TV in the early-80s, you pretty much only ever saw the Lakers, Celtics, Sixers and Spurs.

Didn't like the Sixers because Moses looked too mean. Ditto Artis Gilmore and the Spurs. Couldn't cop the C's because my Dad shoved the Irish about them down my throat.

This left the Lakers, plus the first game I saw some 6'9 point guard was doing come crazy s#!t!

LA Dodgers
Heard stories growing up about the Brooklyn-Yankees rivalry. Loved the romance of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Take back Ebbetts Field!

Washington Redskins
First NFL game I saw was the '83 SuperBowl. Raiders v defending champions Redskins. Was tempted to back the Raiders because their silver and black colours were close to Port's.

But in the pre-game show, all the meathead Raiders were bagging out the Redskins QB's mum. "Mom" jokes by the dozen. That was enough for me. Hated the Raiders ever since. Especially after they romped home.

Michigan State
Magic Johnson.

Only follow the NHL out of these, and the Nashville Predators are the team I follow.

Mainly because they have a cool name - and an even cooler story behind it. Apparently when they were building the new stadium they actually unearthed a fossil of a cat-like predator. Love it (even though they are a pretty ordinary outfit lol).

New York Jets (v Vikings @ Giant Stadium)
New York Yankees (coincidentally v the Twins @ Yankee Stadium)
New York Knicks (playoffs against the Pacers @ Maddison Sq Gdn)
New York Rangers (Stanley Cup Final against Vancouver - Game 6 @ Maddison Sq Gdn)

NBA - Nuggets, basketball isn't my thing bein only 5"5, but they have a good name!!!

NFL - Cardinals, got in-laws in Arizona and they are devout Cardinals fans so i've grown to like them, it helps to have an Aussie punter too

NHL - Ducks, while in the US earlier this year me and the wifey went to Honda Center to see the Ducks play, they lost but i still like them...

Don't care about MLB or NFL. My interest in the NBA decreases every season but I love the NHL more than ever.
