They should make this a touring car classic race like it used to be by opening it up to other makes and teams from overseas. You could have BMW's, Audi's, Jaguars, Renaults, European Fords (e.g. Focus's) etc taking on the local marques.

As it is it's just a glorified V8 Supercar race catering to the bourbon-swilling cavemen who follow the Holden v Ford travelling circus.

I take offence at that as I swill Bundy, not Bourbon!
Go Ford!

Go Ford, but not Lowndes or Whincup - rather see Murphy and Skaife win it than them...

Hang on, take that back...it would be good to see them crash into each other instead !!! ;)

I reckon your comments would have something to do with 888 switching to Holden next year...

Blame Ford for that one, not 888... How smart are the marketing gurus at Ford? Hey, let's put all of our money behind two teams that have been struggling for success and ignore the team which has been our shining light. No wonder Roland Dane wanted to switch camps...

Anyway, go Ford (any Ford), let's make it four in a row...

Particularly considering 888 actually make the cars and sell them to most of the other ford teams. i think the only fords to have any success in the last few seasons have all been built by them. who do they all buy their cars from next year?

Thats the stupid thing, 888 are still going to build Falcons too and supply them to other teams.

Yeah CC, i know Ford are to blame. Still dont want to see Lowndes or Whincup win though...they drive 'Hogs' anyway, not Fords ;)

I'm loyal to my struggling teams like South Adelaide and DJR so I will continue to put my faith in Dickie Johnson and the boys. Fail that I hope Frosty can do the job finally...

Stevie J has had a pretty consistent record at Bathurst over the years and Courtney has been on the pod the last 3 years so if they can keep it on the road they will give it a shake. When he hit the lead a few years ago with only a few laps remaining I thought they were home !! Alas.... :(

Very good chance to win. After 888 and HRT they'd be my pick...

Haven't seen much of the V8's this year...would be good to see one of the battler teams in a car that looks like a Holden win, but expect that Lowndes and his mate in a car that looks like a Ford might win ;)

The last pole sitter to win was Murphy in 03. Hopefully Davison puts it in the wall on the warm up lap! :d
