Watching some footage of Tim Tebow... this guy will not QB in the NFL. The guy cant even take a snap under centre. Every one of his plays in college was from shotgun.

He would be awesome in wildcat formations, but really only Miami run that 75% or more, everyone else it is just a gimmick play.

Westsider the problem is each conference plays a different style of play and the SEC I found to be a defence conference whilst the big 12 played a more offensive game. But in saying that 2 SEC teams did beat 2 big 12 teams in bowl games this year. But the interesting thing is ex Alburn head coach Tommy Tuberville has been hired by Texas Tech as head coach for the next 5 years. And in college football Mike Leach's Air Raid style of play put Tech on the map and they hire an ex SEC coach who is defensive minded so it will be interesting to watch.

Love watching the College football but for the life of me cannot work out how the finals/bowls teams are decided. Is it on a win/loss record or are these just invitationals. It confuses the life out of me and i truly think i would enjoy watching it more if could work this out.

Can someone please explain in simple terms for me?

I think he will QB in the NFL. He can run as well as throw so i think that'll make him more desirable to teams. It'll probably take him a few years to get the starting job, but i think if the starter goes down and he gets a shot he might stick around. Not many people rated Tom Brady before he got the starters position and now he's one of the top QBs in the NFL...

Basically whufc the teams are 'rated' by a panel of 'experts' etc each week (A top 25 poll). Obviously the teams which win and keep winning, particularly against good opposition are ranked higher... The national final is always between the #1 and #2 ranked sides at the end of the regular season. All the other bowls are (I believe) held between teams with a certain ranking at the end of the season (I stand corrected- If I'm not right here anyone please correct me).

There is a coaches and a media top 25 the best teams ranked 1 and 2 play off for the F.B.S championship. Then with bowls they go according to ladder positions and what College conference they have agreements with. Ie the Cotton bowl is usually played between the Big 12 and normally they will use a SEC team.

Watched an Oregon State game (Vs USC) and just loved the whole package. Have put down watching a Ducks home game on my Bucket List. And today added watching a Virginia Tech basketball home game.

Ok here is what has been happening from over in the states. In recent weeks the Pac 10 went Shopping for colleges and ended up with 2 they were after 6. Colorado and Utah.
They went after University of Texas, Texas A & M, Texas Tech, University of Colorado, Oklahoma University and Oklahoma State. Well only Colorado decided to go and the other 5 are staying together in a watered down version of the big 12 starting next year. Nebraska went to the Big 10 giving the Big 10, 12 teams from 2011 and the current Big 12 will have 10 teams.
USC got caught cheating the system and paying player namely Reggie Bush. they were put on a bowl ban for 2 years which means they cannot play any end of season bowl games and a loss of 30 scholarships for football over the next 3 years.
Football season is only 6 weeks away before kick off.
