Sad to read today that the former owner of the Sydney Kings NBL team is battling pancreatic cancer and is losing the fight.

Whatever perceptions people had of him, there is no doubt he was a major driving force behind the NBL in the 80's, putting Sydney right to the forefront of glitz and glamour and assisting in making it such an attractive product for TV.

Very sad day looming for Australian basketball.

A credit to Wrublewski that he had Sydney at forefront for so long given that they didn't win much and they made little impression after he wasn't involved.
