Just caught the last 3 minutes on the net which Australia defeated England on http://www.justin.tv/live24rugby

did you know that when the kiwis arrived on monday they had a look at the adelaide oval & were not impressed & had the teams, referees etc not paid for hotels, airfares etc in advance the 7's would have been changed to another venue (meaning another state) for the year

THIS IS FACT, i know someone (infact a few) who was at the meeting last wednesday night in town

Was it an issue with the surface?
I did notice them watering it immediately after the England V Australia game.

surface wasn't the real problem although it apparently is rock hard, it was the dust etc from the demolition going on & lack of suitable change rooms & warm up areas that is their concern
