WWE is back in Adelaide for one night only on August 5 (that's a Saturday, for those playing at home).
Newcastle and Melbourne also have a show each.

Adelaide being a small fish in a large pond .
Sydney may well have complained that they missed out .
Or the politics that has taken hold in local wrestling has spilled over into the big stage , nah its probably a logistics thing Newcastle,Sydney,Melbourne its easier than newcastle melbourne Adelaide.
They came out in the 1980's then in the 00's when will they next appear that is the big question :D
Am I close Phil G oops thought you were Phil H was going to ask why has 5RPh gotten interested in wrestling  i know to many Phils lol lol

If they come on Aussie TV and are up to date this time no worries

Foxtel is waiting to see how much it will cost them for the rights to show impact. It will take a little longer in time i found out today and if and when it happens foxtel will keep it up to date with the PPV.

I haven't seen TNA since they bought the six-sided ring in so I can't wait for Sacrifice on Saturday. I hope to god it does enough buys to keep Foxtel somewhat interested in the idea of showing Impact every week, I doubt it will though, which would be an absoulte shame. But hey, they used to show WWE and WCW pay-per-views simultaneously back in the late 90's, as well as RAW on Fox Sports and Nitro on TNT, so it could happen again. Or is it just wishful thinking?

As long as they show ECW when it rises from it's own ashes...

Taping at the same shows as SmackDown would be a bad start to begin with. ECW wasn't built on 10-15k arenas. If Vince is serious about this he's gotta go back to the bingo halls, and I'm sure Heyman would be pushing for that too. Buy the ECW arena back, it's not worth that much as a building I wouldn't think. As much as WWE owns it, they should be trying to get away from what WWE is. It's a completely different entity. Not RAW, SmackDown and ECW. RAW and SmackDown are WWE, ECW is ECW. The two companies are so different that if they try and incorporate ECW into the WWE life (as in, being taped before SmackDown and wrestling on WWE PPV's), ECW is doomed from the start. No true ECW fan wants to see that I wouldn't think.

Who knows PhilG. As far as I know ONS is the only ECW PPV at the moment, with the WWE not introducing any new PPVs in the future, they might have some roll in events like WM, RR, SS and the like.

You make some good points, butas a die-hard ECW fan, if the new version is in fact a watered-down, WWE-influenced product I'm not gonna watch it. Either it comes back as close to it possibly can be when it closed in '01, or just let it rest in peace. Bringing it back and having it be nowhere near what the original was will taint the legacy of the company (see Hulk Hogan, nWo, 2002), and I don't wanna see ECW in pain like that.
