EPW 're-merging' RESULTS

Postby bayman » Sat Nov 15, 2008 1:17 am

BOUT 1, 'a young lion triple threat match'

elliot sexton v the golden aztec v jimmy scarlet

winner sexton by pinning scarlet

BOUT2, 'interstate challenge' (wa v vic)

devlin reeves v cletus blood

reeves pinned blood (after throwing salt/powder into the face of blood)
also reeves had a 'fitness advisor' & as a team they had shirts 'super team devlin' & on the back the shirts it said 'std' i thought looking at them std would have meant something else

BOUT 3, 'grudge match'

j-rock v carlo cannon

carlo won a 'dancing competition' against j-rock before the bout started & carlo also won the bout by pinning j-rock (carlo looks like a thinner damien cupido)

BOUT 4, 'best of the best match up'

mikey nicholls (managed by mickyj's daughter) v slex

mikey won by pinfall with the help of having both feet on the ropes

BOUT 5, 'tag team match'

dick & balls v the graham brothers

despite both teams having helped their respective teams with outside interference the graham brothers won by a pinfall

BOUT 6, 'Knightmare challenge tag match'

chris knight & rohan v robby heart & mark aiston

chris knight & rohan won by pinfall but only after we saw mark aiston imitate many of americas great wrestlers including the rock & stone cold

THE MAIN EVENT - A 'TLC' MATCH for the nwa australian championship match in a 4 way tlc match with the belt hanging on a chain & the first to climb a ladder & get it won the title

hartley jackson as champion had to beat jayson cooper, bruce 'havok' mills & damien slater (who is moving to america to have a crack at 'the big time' so i wish him well, his dad is an accountant  )

jayson cooper is the new champion in what was one of the greatest matches i've ever seen live, all in all it was a great night out & all the bouts were entertaining, the only downfall on the night apart from wedgie being soft was that i thought the lighting was very poor
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Was one of the best shows that EPW have put on in the 2 years that they have been around. Agreed that the lighting could have been better, they haven't been at Thebby before.

Where were you Bayman? I was front row and at one stage during each match the action spilled right in front of where I was.

My second EPWA show and it was worth the extra money .We had a problem with seating one red shirted guy sat us in one seat .Five minutes latter the next red shirted guy moved us into our correct seat .Right next to the RAMP third row.
If any of steph's photo's come out I will put them up.
And ME you did have a lot of action in front of you spilling out flying out etc.WE had Jag and Havoc go through the four tables right in front of us .Crimson Masks before the tables got smashed and then Jags arm all cut up and jagged   after. Those of us who used to attend JPW will call that a classic Jag and Havoc hardcore match minus Anela and thumbtacks.

I did like the touch of the young ladies singing we are Australia perhaps the anthem next time .

I have to say it Re_emerging the best thing since coon resealable bag

i was in the 'jay cheep' seats  (did look for you during the night to see where you were & after the event as well) it was a great view but as i said the lighting was ordinary (but that can be fixed) as for the girls singing at the start i thought it was very rude of those idiots booing & abusing them to get off the stage

was there a sign that said "where is wedgie ?"

yeah I would agree though I did spot the odd punch that didn't connect outside the ring on cletus blood by delivns helper.
four camera men were a bit over the top BUT one nice Camera man told stephanie when they were about to go through the table.

Without asking Stephanie her favourite moments Mikey Nichols almost knocking her Camera out of her hand and telling her to knick off(or words like that).Mickey falling down on the ramp on the way back right next to her  I wonder if that was just staged(which is was for the night) or for her benefit.
And I must tell her she has been promoted to manager
Seeing she was the only one cheering for him .
And lastly when Slex was being helped backstage by the ref.all the little kids consoling Slex him getting over as a face.Stephanie gets in his face and says I quote" Mickey kicked your butt"(or words to that affect).the look on Slex's face was priceless only in Adelaide (or canada) and by my family  will a heel get over as a face.

I hope the guys booing the singers have a good look at themselves.Next time perhaps the national anthem should be sung.

They had 2 shows if I remember correctly and I was at both. I remember Slex was in a ladder match with Lobo and Jag was in a match and the ref was Nick Savage.

Sounds like a very good show. I had to settle for watching KENTA, Marufuji and Misawa in a PW NOAH show in Kyoto on the weekend instead. :D

I believe Slater has been to the states before (sometime in the past year or 2).

I`ve seen about 5 shows at Thebby Theatre in the past decade.

Good to hear they`re back at Clovelly Park next show, a lot closer for me. I`ll be there.

Most wrestling promotions lie about their attendences, do you reckon that is an accurate number?

mickyj, i was up the top & they had a huge black curtain covering at least half of the seating (ie having say 15 rows then the curtain covering 20 rows of seats at the back making it looked packed as they filmed it) i roughly counted the people close to the start of the night & i got just over 300, obviously not everyone was inside at that stage for various reasons but i would say they got no more than 400
