The Daily Telegraph can reveal a Cabinet sub-committee has given in-principle approval to a proposal from V8 Supercars Australia to stage the annual event at Homebush Bay........................................................................................

...................................................................................While the Government is yet to make a formal decision, the move is understood to have the backing of Premier Morris Iemma, who first mooted the idea two years ago only to backflip a month later.

Street races certainly provide the best spectator numbers. V8 Supercars Australia would love a season full of Clipsal 500 races and their accompanying attendances...

Which race will make way for this event?

AVESCO would love a season of clipsal 500 races, its not just the fact its a street circuit that gets people there though, its not even because i get pissed, dress up and entertain the crowd every year. its because its an extremely well run show that gives the crowds exactly what they want.
