wont be any sydney kings next year if they dont come up with the cash
they have an owner who doesnt follow the game, the team or the league.
bought the team when on top thinking they will be a money making team
however the sport has gone backwards with low attendances
he is willing to off load the team OR shut it down

If that happens to the Kings, then the NBL should just shut down.
If your most successful club of the last ten years can't make a buck, then the whole
sport is discredited.
Same thing happened to the old NSL with Eastern Suburbs Hakoah/Sydney City getting
turfed out due to financial trouble, a year or so after winning the championship.(they might have been reigning champs, come to think of it!).

I hate the Tigers but I'm happy for Darryl McDonald.
He's 84 but runs around like an eighteen year old.

You can add the Brisbane Bullets as being in definite trouble as well.

NBL could be no more if several teams die off...

...but boring watching the same teams go around.
Footy and RL can get away with this because of tradition and culture but basketball doesn't have
that luxury.
