Have no idea, that's a question that you might have to ask him, if he comes down.

Lost the "Jnr" tag when he joined WWE in 2002.

Yep. His dad was called Rey Mysterio, which is why he has the 'Junior' at the end of his name.

At least the WWE in respect to the Mexican 'lucha libre' style of wrestling let old Rey Rey once again don his mask!

Oops. Rarely am I ever wrong.

He looks like a 10-year-old without the mask, much better with it on.

Incorrect in Lucha Libre once you lose you mask that is it. The WWE is thumbing their nose at Lucha Libre

He won the WCW cruserweight tag titles with Billy Kidman, which he still has, the original titles.

This from Eric Bischoff's book "Controversy creates ca$h":

Rey Mysterio's Mask

The mask became a big issue for Rey Mysterio.
I wanted Rey to be a character that kids could really relate to.
He had a lot of characteristics going for him. But he wore a mask, and the camera couldn't see his facial expressions. The expressions tell the story.
After Rey had been with us for quite some time, I knew his character could grow. Rey is a good-looking guy, and I thought taking the mask off would take him to the next level, make him a real superstar. But Rey, having been brought up in Mexico and having a different feel about the heritage of his character, balked. Not having grown up in Mexico, I didn't really understand it. I do now, but that said, I still think Rey was better off without the mask.
Rey's argument was "Wait a minute, in Mexico, that's who I am".
"Yeah, but you're not in Mexico anymore, so guess what? You're going to lost the mask".
I actually tried to be more diplomatic than that, but it came down to push comes to shove. I had to stand my ground. He lost the mask in a Hair versus Mask match at Superbrawl IX, when Mysterio and Konan were defeated by Nash & Hall.
But losing the mask was hard on Rey. He didn't really embrace it. These days, he wrestles with it on in WWE.

I read Bischoffs' book on the plane. One of the many mistakes The Bisch made. Mysterio became less popular without the mask (and the fans hated it in Mexico) and was no way better off. Bischoff really did that just to show he was the boss. Myterio's mask has been sold to fans by the hundreds of thousands since he joined WWE.

Agreed Mic, I was a huge fan of Rey's in WCW but as soon as he took off the mask I hated him, he wore those baggy pants and tried to look really cool while having the face of a 12 year old kid.
The mask for Rey is the only way to go, I don't like WWE but am always willing to watch a Rey match and my son absolutely adores him and Im sure that's mirrored right around the world with millions and millions of kids.
He's probably my son's fav wrestler behind Sting and maybe Christian, I might sway my son a bit on Christian though as he cracks me up, funny as I never liked Christian in WWE. Its amazing how much a talent can improve when handled right. He's my fav now.

Bischoff's biggest mistake wasn't walking away when all the company mergers went on although it made him rich with a share option. Im enjoying his book, he tells it as it is and isn't afraid to admit his own downfalls.

Has he been used in WWE recently?

No, I think he's been let go. Either that or he has a deal where he will come in if he's needed.

I reckon his biggest mistake was not coming up with a fresh idea apart from the NWO.
