WWE Royal Rumble

Postby Wedgie » Sun Jan 27, 2008 4:39 pm

Don't watch WWE but as the son picked out cheap new shoes compared today Im rewarding with the Royal Rumble PPV tomorrow as he watches TNA, RAW, Smackdown, ECW and EPW, he's wrestling crazy at the minute.
To those regular WWE watchers Im just wondering what matches I should keep an eye out for and who's the fav to take out the Rumble itself?

Thats a very hard question to answer Wedgie perhaps CM Punk as he lost his ECW title thanks to EDGE.
And Flair will not lose to MVP .I'm tipping he will survive until Wrestlemania.

Edge vs Mysterio should be alright.
The Rumble match itself is normally entertaining, my tips are Undertaker, HHH or Batista to win.

Hardcore Holly ??? he'd be older than Hogan surely. The only wish I have is that Shaun Micheals gets the shit beaten outer him, painful homo.
The other matches don't look much chop.

There is Hardcore Holly (Robert Howard) and then was his "cousin" Crash Holly (Mike Lockwood).

You are probably thinking of Crash who died 5 years ago at Stevie Richards' house.

wasn't 'hardcore holly' a 'racing car driver' before they/he changed his ring identity ?

the 2 characters that changed identities that i never picked was 'akeem' & 'one man gang' & the other one was 'smash' from 'demolition' to 'repo man'

others i've picked but anyone know who doink was ? (yes i know there was a few doinks)
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Yep, Bob "Spark Plugg' Holly - supposedly a NASCAR racer.

The first Doink was Matt Borne (whose claim to fame was wrestling Steamboat at Wrestlemania 1), the second one was the guy who was the character Skinner.

From a very hazy memory I think Brian Pillman played the role of Doink aswell at times.

Nah, he was in WCW when Doink was a regular. Pillman only wrestled in WWE for about 5 months before he died (another drug-related death).

Funny thing is Bob Holly never drove NASCAR... it was just a storyline :)
