It wasn't my normal trip to West Lakes this morning.Instead I was involved in a Bream fishing Comp ,which was open to lure, soft plastics and Fly fishers. This was organised by one fisher from a fishing forum .
We all met up and got going at 6.55 am and were due back in the Bower rd carpark at midday.
Was a very had day on the water for everyone .For me the wind changed mid morning and i went for casting with it in few minutes to casting into it the next.
But after watching a Dragon Boat paddle by I had a hit and fish landed at 9.20 .And that was it for me I finished 5th overall and beat some much better lure/sp guys who got zero fish.
Here he is all 26.5cms caught on a green flyImage

Gee thought I was on FISHSA there for a while. Some of those lure SP guys are very full on about catching Bream from west lakes. Nice fish though.
