of rusty or holden?
holden havent dissapointed this year in my opinon. HSV started with a bang and flogged everyone in sight, HRT were quick too (same team so thats expected) then after about 2-3 rounds the ford teams got their crap together and bridged the gap, then overtook it, particularly frosty, Steven Johnson (1 to watch next year) and Lowndes (finally got over the death of Brock i reckon.)
there is no way GT should be favourite in my opinion, hasnt done too well since sandown, hes 7 points behind whincupp and is still only payng $1.90!

rusty driving for paul morris isnt going to bring that team too far up the pack in 2008. SBR are a good outfit and rusty battles with them.

Its time for Ingall to move on, give a younger bloke a go.
Not sure about Dumbrell as his replacement though, i would think they could find a better 'young gun' than him.
Always thought Ingall was a bit of a tosser, i reckon the only one who actually thought he was 'The Enforcer' was Russell himself !!!
Consistant driver though, even if he did snare a championship under the current, stupid point system which doesnt reward winning like it should.

Isn't the headline "Ingall to leave ford" a bit misleading as it implies that he's making a choice to go elsewhere?

I think the fact that SBR got a new driver to take his spot and that no Ford team wanted him may have had something to do with it?

Anyone who watched him race in the mid 90s would know why he was dubbed The Enforcer, alas his best days were well behind him even when he won the championship IMHO.
I'll have fond memories of Rusty, a South Aussie legend, driving the Green Machine to the championship though, always one of my fav drivers when he was younger and competitive.

Ingall & Morris together in the same team...the panel beaters will be happy!

This is the beginning of the end for Russell. He'll find himself out of V8s at the end of 09 I'd reckon.

A good driver in his prime. His championship (like Kelly's last year) will never be considered to have a great deal of credibility. IMHO it's time the V8's adopted a f1 style points system. Why should you be rewarded for finishing 15th?

it was changed from last year from everyone getting points to just the top 15. i think there would have been too much oposition from people if they made it top 8 or 10 only. not that it would be a bad thing in my opinion.
be interesting to see this years positions with points for top 8 only. think GT still would have won.
