Exodus Continues from WWE, warning TNA spoiler

At the Genesis PPV held yesterday Booker T joined Sting in the main event won by Kurt Angle who had Kevin Nash as his partner.
Gee whiz, there's a few ex WWE stars now at TNA but somehow TNA holds onto them with not many going the reverse way.
TNA is great for us old WCW fans with heaps of ex WCW wrestlers there as well as the best up and comers and high flyers.

Is this the right place to say how much I loved the Macho Man and Brutus the Barber Beefcake in the late 80s????

I just wanted to throw that in.

Some from WCW:
Sting
Nash (only had his 1st match yesterday but has been involved for a long while)
Hall (hasn't wrestled this time yet - not sure what their angle for him is)
Booker T
Jeff Jarrett
Konnan
Scott Steiner
Rick Steiner
Raven

Some from WWE or both:
Team 3D (Dudley Brothers)
Rhino
America's Most Wanted (not together, wrestle separately as Chris Harris and James Storm)
Jackie Wilson
Gail Kim
BG & Kip James (New Age Outlaws in WWE)
Kurt Angle
Black Reign (aka Gold Dust, aka Dustin Rhodes)
Matt Morgan (aka Test)

Having gone through all of those wrestlers, TNA's best wrestlers technically and to watch are some of their home grown or wrestlers who haven't starred in either WCW or WWE. The X Division is awesome.

Having Kurt Angle gives TNA so much credibility. Along with Bret Hart the best exponent of the art i have seen.

No sheet!! I was a huge Kirschner fan back in the day when he'd continually terrorise Nikolai Volkoff

Wedgie, how does TNA keep these names, particularly someone as awesome/popular/high profile as Kurt Angle?

I can understand the mass exodus to WCW back in the 90's by weight of Teddy Turner's wallet, but I wouldn't have thought TNA came close to the financial clout of the WWE?

I believe Jeff Jarrett was at the forefront of TNA's either establishment or resurgence, would it have something to do with the friendships he's held with some of those names?

my understanding CP is TNA is less $$$ but only have to work once a week instead of 5 times a week plus travel 50 weeks of the year in the WWE....lifestyle choice and to some of the old blokes the only way they can stay in the game

I think as Mark Twain said, "rumors of my death are grossly exaggerated".
He is still alive and wrestling in Japan.

Correct.

TNA, I believe, has run at a loss since it started a few years ago. It has some major companies/sponsors eg, Panda Energy (whoever they are) that help keep them afloat.

TNA has TV tapings 2-3 times a month or so whereas WWE is 3 times a week (RAW, SD and ECW).

TNA doesnt run house shows, so most wrestlers can pick Indy events that they want to wrestle at. WWE run house shows most other days that when they arent taping TV.

So basically being a WWE wrestler means being on the road 5-6 days per week. TNA you are probably on the road 2-3 days. Depending on how many Indy bookings you want to pick up.

So with a less hectic schedule some WWE guys are deciding to jump ship. It will be for less money but at least they have more time at home with their families etc.
