White Sox - 48 / 72 .400

Only the Royal, Athletics and Rockies are under .400

We are shit.

Yanks in the hardest Div, AL East, .496 and bottom with 4 sides over .500 above them.

Yankees fan here and yes they are utterly diabolical. Almost at the stage where they need to tear up the roster and start from scratch. I’m not surprised though as all my US sporting teams are trash currently and come to think of it ALL my sporting teams are at the minute

Ditto. Even Judge missing a significant number of games doesn't excuse our season.

Interesting blow up by fans online about how the WildCard match has turned into a series and the time off is hurting the teams that finished top and the teams in wildcard series are getting on a roll by playing more.

Texas 2-1 up and 11-1 up in game 4. All over.

Rangers win their first franchise World Series on the back of 11 on the road post season wins. Most in MLB history.

Ohtani signs with Dodgers for a ridiculous amount and they still won't win a penant

Please do.
They'll have a 100 game winning season.

Was reading this morning that he is “only” getting US$2m per season whilst he is playing and then a lump sum of US$680m at the end of his contract.
In effect the Dodgers will be banking his money and collecting the interest over the next 10 years to help fund more players coming in. Pretty smart business by them

And saving 46million per year on luxury tax
Clever

Is that right? I knew they were going to defer the majority of it, didn't know it'd be to that extent!

Hopefully they chase Yamamoto and another starting pitcher now.

EDIT - Never mind, I just saw the ESPN article

That's wild...

For reference, the MLB minimum salary is $740,000 for 2024. He'll be playing for less than 3 times that amount.

Oh, he also makes US$46m per year from endorsements so I think he will be just fine

I'm not worried about him one bit, I just want to know how many pitchers we'll sign now!
