Would Coach Milsom be willing to put up a potential starting line up or some sort of apetite wettening Australasian S.A player preview and Analysis. That would be very interesting at the very least to me :) and im absolutely certain the orange milky kid will study and analyse the hell out of it

This will liven up the thread.....At the expense of Flinders O Neil  SORRY BENJI. You boys have the talent to win a title but it is a consistent trend that your best 13 or 15 are not on the park week in week out. You are capable of beating anyone but also have a tendancy to drop games you would very much expect to win.
Also im not sure if the problem has been rectified but wont you be starting the season on -1 due to lack of a man with a whistle?

SA men, one win two losses. Can be ensured of semi finals action today if results go there way or if not a win tomorrow will also get SA in the big dance.

Scores to date

Queensland 0-17 (17) d SA 1-8 (11)
Auckland 3-8 (17) d SA 0-5 (5)
SA 1-12 (15) d Northland 0-4 (4)

Both the first games were played on a pitch located in someones backyard. With the final game being played on the real pitch that really suited the boys. Pretty sure all reamining games are on the real pitch.

Amazing turnaround in form by the boys in the third game against Northland. Northland are yet to win but lost to both Qld & Hutt Valley by only a couple of points. As milko stated the big pitch we played on for our third game was much better suited to our style of gaelic. Unfortunately we are down to 15 fit players so will take a Herculean effort from here but with the hunger and passion the lads displayed yesterday anything is possible.

A brief rundown of the games so far.

First game we got off to a good start and went into halftime a point down. Qld overan us well & truly in the second half. Playing the first game of the day jetlagged on minimal sleep & on a pitch the size of a postage stamp obviously didnt help but Qld were very good and i expect them to be around the mark on the weekend. Tommy Greenshields i thought was our best with support by Nick Delvins, Chris Carey & Whitto

On tuesday we played Auckland in the first game again and to put it bluntly we were poor. We were cut up in the first half and the game was over by halftime. Second half was an even contest but meant very little as we werent upto it when it was really required. Chris Carey & Anto were really our only 2 players who could've walked off and be content with their output.

We then backed up in the afternoon against Northland (the second side from Auckland) who were also playing their second game of the day. The big pitch and our superior fitness was clearly evident and really we should have won by more but for inaccurate kicking. Whitto was immense for us and must have plucked at least 15 grabs from kickouts....brilliant performance. Little Jordan Pegoraro really stood up and well every player contributed for the duration of the match. The mood in the camp has changed significantly and everyone is looking forward to the remaining games. Fingers crossed we can get thru with no more injuries but with the belief the boys now have anything could be possible.

Northland lost by 2 points yesterday which means we are now guaranteed a semi final spot. The game today is a dead rubber so our primary focus will be about getting thru without any newinjuries and remaining fresh for the semi final tomorrow. I wouldnt read much into whatever result we have today - just want to give ourselves the best chance possible at winning tomorrow.

In what was supposed to be a dead rubber, the SA men started off on fire today to record an epic win over Wellington/Hutt Valley, winning 2.10 to 1.6. Meaning we finish with a 2 and 2 record, and finish 4th. Playing Queensland in a semi final tomorrow morning.

HOWEVER today was marred by a sickening junk time injury to SA's Gaelic Football's favourite son, Matt Whitford. Poor Whitto broke his ankle after landing badly from his 150th hanger attempt, leaving the SA team with 14 and a half fit players! Get well soon Whitto.

The girls are into a semi final against Queensland, and the SA minors unfortunately lost their semi final today.

The SA Mens turnaround in form continued with a pretty comprehensive win over Wellington. The change in confidence is remarkable and everyone within (whats left of) the squad has the real belief that we can continue this run in the semi final. We play Queensland who are undefeated but look like they are possible slowing down and if we can play the game on our terms then there is every chance of a massive upset occurring.

Unfortunately today in the last 3 mins big Matty Whitford landed awkwardly and badly broke his leg. He has been our most influential player so far so its another challenge to an already depleted squad.

Looking forward to the challenge tomorrow..!!

SA Men went down To Qld in their final. A massive effort this week from the boys considering the size of the squad.

Bad luck to the minors and Mens from all accounts you gave your absolute all and you did the state proud. :D
Fingers crossed the girls can bring home an Ausatralasian Championship. I havent checked but its more than a safe bet that you will be facing the highly skilled and visually appealing WA team. Not sure what is the politically correct way to say good luck to a Womens Football team but....Smash em you SA Sharks. Black and Gold, more like black and Sh*it!!! "LETS GO SA, LETS GO" :D
