Sox get back to 38-38 after going 3-1 series win over the Red Sox and 2-1 series win over the Jays.
Lefty Chris Sale has 13 wins to his name on the mound, proving to be one of the best in the AL. Talk of the Sox trading him for some extra depth but when we have little star power he should be kept.
He's made no secrets about wanting to be involved in the post season and if we can't offer him that he'll no doubt be on the move.

The Sox have suspended Chris Sale for 5 days after an extraordinary outburst. He cut up some retro shirts that the club was supposed to wear, he said they were uncomfortable and that was his protest.
CHICAGO -- The White Sox have suspended pitcher Chris Sale for five days after concluding the club's investigation into a clubhouse incident prior to Saturday's game with the Detroit Tigers.
This suspension, announced by the team Sunday morning and based solely on Saturday's actions, began Saturday and runs through Wednesday. Sale would be eligible to start Thursday night against the Cubs at Wrigley Field, but general manager Rick Hahn said that slot currently will be listed as TBA.
Hahn spoke with Sale for 30 minutes Saturday following the incident, which a source told MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi stemmed in part from Sale protesting the use of throwback jerseys, which was tied into a jersey giveaway for fans. The quote from Hahn on Sunday's press release referred to "violating team rules, insubordination and destroying team equipment" as the reasons for suspension, an organizational call in which Hahn had conversations with White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf, executive vice president Ken Williams and Major League Baseball.
A 10-minute conversation took place between Hahn and Sale on Sunday when the suspension was announced to Sale, who was not at U.S. Cellular Field.
"Obviously we're all extremely disappointed that we have to deal with this issue at this time both from the standpoint of the club as well as Chris' perspective," said Hahn during his Sunday meeting with the media. "It's unfortunate that it has become this level of an issue and potential distraction taking away from what we're trying to accomplish on the field.
"It was a reasoned decision based upon his action within in the clubhouse. Later in the day, when he and I sat down and talked face-to-face and he explained the rationale behind his actions, he understood at that time, because of his actions, there was going to be discipline."
Sale (14-3) was supposed to start Saturday's game, suspended by rain after eight innings with the score tied at 3. Instead, he was sent home after the pregame incident in the home clubhouse. Sale, who also was fined an undisclosed amount, has been placed on Major League Baseball's suspended list. (The White Sox won, 4-3, when the suspended game resumed play on Sunday.)
Back in Spring Training, Sale also was the focus of attention when he criticized Williams for limiting Drake LaRoche's clubhouse and on-field access that eventually connected to the retirement of Drake's father, Adam LaRoche. Sale also took issue with the team not bringing back Tyler Flowers -- the lone man to catch a Sale pitch in 2014 and '15 -- during the offseason, and he had a clear-the-air talk with Hahn by phone the day after the move.
Sale had a clubhouse disagreement with manager Robin Ventura at the end of the 2014 season, in which he was sent home to cool down and then tried to get into the Royals' clubhouse in April of last season after a bench-clearing, on-field fracas. But Sale also is considered a consummate teammate and primarily the easy-going face of the franchise, attached to his Cy Young Award-caliber pitching.
"I've known Chris for years," White Sox starting pitcher James Shields said. "Now that I've gotten to be his teammate, he's one of the better teammates I've been around. He's definitely a team player. He's a winner. He wants to take the ball every five days and win ballgames."

This guy was a serious talent who will be missed by the game. Tried defecting from Cuba twice, got jailed, eventually got to the US and made himself an All-Star.
Miami Marlins star Jose Fernandez, one of the most dominant pitchers in professional baseball, was killed in a boating crash early on Sunday in Florida, the US Coast Guard said. He was 24 years old.
Fernandez was one of three men killed when the 32-foot boat collided with a rocky jetty off of Miami Beach, the Coast Guard said. The identities of the two other crash victims were not released.
Emergency crews responded to reports of an boat overturned at about 3.30am local time, the Coast Guard said.
The bodies of three deceased men between the ages of 24 and 27, including Fernandez, were found on and underneath the boat, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman Lorenzo Veloz said at a news conference. The agency is investigating the cause of the incident.

Meanwhile Boston Red Sox are the first team to clinch a play off berth.
Chicago Cubs clinch division and best record in the league. While Washington and Texas clinch National East and American West respectively.
The Tribe look to have American central as theirs and National West is still open with the Dodgers just 6 games ahead of the Giants of San Francisco.

They are mate, the Cubs have the second lowest batting percentage against them in AL history at .209
In the AL the Orioles and Blue Jays play off in the wild card to face Texas.
The the NL the Mets and Giants do the same to face the Cubs.
The Red Sox and the Tribe face off in the AL while the Dodgers and Nationals face off in the NL.

Edwin Encarnacion hit a stadium rattling walk off 3 run bomb onto the second deck at the bottom of the 11th, ( One out, runners 1st/3rd ) to win 5-2.
The Giants and Mets face off in their National League Wild Card game today ( our time ). Weather fine and dry. Should be a cracking game.

Well the Giants rolled the Mets, I thought the Mets would be too good defensively, but it proved to be Bumgarner on the mound for the Giants being the difference, they advance through the Wild Card game 3-0 to face Cubs.
Meanwhile, as I type, the Blue Jays keep the sticks working as they lead the Rangers 7-0 top 5th.

There's talk that the 1st round of Post Season series will go to 7 games instead of the current 5.
The Blue Jays come in as the Wild Card, they smashed them in game 1 ( 10-1 ) and got a little, perhaps, lucky in game 2 with the 3 run walk off bomb and now win 3 on the error bottom of 10.

2 - The wild card shouldn't get through with such ease, you can win a 5 game series with luck but much harder to do over 7.

Cleveland Indians wrap up the American League to advance to their first World Series since 1997.
They beat wild card Toronto 4-0 in game 5 to win the series 401 after the Blue Jays took game 4 to keep the series alive.
Over in the Nationals it's a cracking series with the Dodgers leading 2 games to 1 with the Cubs leading game 4 4-0 bottom of the 4th.
Looks like it will be 2-2 with 3 games to play. Game 5 is in LA, 6 and 7 at Wrigley Field. Could the curse be broken in front of the home fans?
