My Highlights were:

1. Santana - Superb.
2. Doc Neeson - His voice hasnt chaged a bit. His physical appearence has though.
3. Meeting 'Super' somewhere near the bar area.

The tintops are exciting enough but dont really do it for me.
Give me MotoGP anyday.
And at the Clipsal 500 most of the TOOLs arent in the pits.
Yeah, Naah,..... Bollocks!

Someone or something is responsible for the death of Ashley Cooper..?

This is perhaps above professional sport.

This is motor racing.

Someone hasn't done their homework.

Someone missed something here.

Adelaide Clipsal has a bad name in the worlds eyes now.
Smile :)

It's only Money $$$ :)

What is happening to our SANFL guys...

Dog_ger thats not the case here. Far from the Adelaide Clipsal having a bad name I afraid after looking at our three big news channel websites BBC, Sky and ITV there seems to be no mention of it whatsoever. Only interest is in F1, motorbikes and rallying here...a search for anything else gives no results.

I've heard four completely different "inside words" on what caused his death today.

Maybe one, none or all contributed to his death.

I'm not saying its a direct cause, but on one of the News services tonight, they said he failed to appear at an info session provided on dangerous parts of the track, but instead was given a brief summary just before he was about to commence racing.

Very sad and very moving when the chief of motor sports broke down at the press conference.

Perhaps its time to move on some of the undercard events as cement walls are no place for drivers who aren't as professional as the Supercar drivers. Mind you no need to overreact when its one incident in 10 years and you'd want it fully investigated first.

First time someone has passed away from a crash here in Adelaide in over 20 years of motor racing at this track. There has been one at Albert Park, that of an official.
The racers know what they are getting theirselves into when they get into the car.
Senna knew what he was getting himself into on that day a few years ago.

Motorsport is dangerous. High speeds and walls around the track create a dangerous environment and every effort is taken to make it as safe as possible. Occasionally (not that its acceptable) these incidents are going to happen and we just hope they can walk away from it, sadly for Ashley and his family this time it didnt.

After a full investigation hopefully they find the cause and eliminate this incident from happening again!

RIP Ashley.

Gets live coverage in NZ.

Also if you watch the sports wrap car racing type shows on ESPN/Fox Sports, they will show 10 minute packaged hilights of the V8 races from time to time, but often months after the event. These shows are produced overseas, and show bits of Superbikes, German DTR, etc etc.

But yes, fully agree, this death will not cause a ripple overseas.
