Rogers, Way, Lush, Milsom, Gino, Fennoughty all injured or away. Majority of the squad who took the field yesterday wouldnt be known to those in the gaelic circles.

Yet you wont find many more committed efforts then that yesterday tho.

Interestingly that both mens semi finals were won in the second half by the team kicking into the (Brendan) Gale force winds..!!

was a very good win for the taints. big suprise after talking to them friday night. well done. and another year with out making the Gf for the highly decorated onkas side. but as the taints boyz have said it comes down to the day and yesterday things did not go onkas way. And in the second hald the taints ran all over them.

as for our game, we worked our way into the game and got over the line to give us a chance on sunday. very disapointing to get a few injuries late (and no dave flo hammy this year) One of the injuries requires surgery and will miss his entire footy season, the other to rappa (bloke who kicks off the ground) looks like may have put a stop to his grand final chances as well. so looks like the Goats will be back to the bare minimum 15 for the final.

When did these injuries happen Schimma? I certainly don't recall seeing anyone leave the field looking obviously injured - and i was watching particularly closely!

C is for Controller, like in Thomas the Tank Engine. That's his nickname. Why, what were you thinking?
He's more like twice the size of me.

I unlike others, will actually front up after my team losses to explain.

Congratulations to WI who were too good for us in the second half. They wanted it more & ran harder, hence got the rewards. Please note that my next two points are not excuses, just statements & wouldn't have changed any result.
- The st mary's doctor went missing in the second half?
- Tony the waterboy as the referee. No disrespect to Tony, but he's only refereed 1-5 games of gaelic footy! Surely that is not enough experience to take on a semi final? Surely a one day course isn't enough for this situation? All ref's who went thru this course should be accompanied by an experienced ref for their first 1-3 games IMO, instead of being thrown straight into the deep end where the only feedback they get is from angry players & coaching staff. I understand that this is how Gags was learning to ref, but in some wisdom was not allowed to continue his progression to ref as he didn't partake in the course.......

Another congratulations to the Taints who pulled off a massive upset. The famous Taints preparation before a game of a friday & saturday on the good stuff once again gets them thru. I must also point out the miraculous efforts of the individual with the broken ankle. I was shocked to hear that he made it out of the German club, let alone have the ability to kick on. Then to front up at Soundwave all day after, the effort was super human.

Can anyone link the absence of the "purple cowboy" Jason Fay on the weekend to a particular festival in Sydney occuring on the same weekend?

Ahh MBK...so concerned with your own sexuality you want to bring up mine...let's look at the evidence (since you brought my private trip to the M'gras into the public domain...that reminds me I need to get this rash checked out...you better too O'Neils Only)

MBK...
Fantasised about me in the role of "Cowboy"
Brought up "losing his cherry"
Was seen strutting around nude at St Mary's to impress the girls teams
Started flirting with the rev heads on the NASCAR page (A lot of talk about stickshifts getting stuck!)
Is the only male in the last twenty years I have heard talking openly about the Mardi Gras. (Did anyone else even know it was on?)
Posed in racy photos that others alleged were of a young Pauline Hanson (Don't believe me? Check out this photo and tell me it aint the MBK!)

http://www.da-kolkoz.com/photos/6016255 ... 629393.jpg

MBK, it is ok. We will accept you when you finally accept yourself. We are here for you buddy.

Yes the girls made the GF without me. Not an issue as they have been getting closer and closer each week. Looking forward to seeing their expressions this week when I tell them to follow the piper. It will be great to be a part of that day again.

As for the Fat Controller...well who saw that coming? If they lose the oval I blame Kenny Fay and of course the Wristwatcher. Someone or all of us here in SA will be blamed for this one too. Guess a NSW team in Auckland (Mens, womens or Mi....woops nearly said minors) is looking less likely.

Best players and teams of the year? Where is all this controversy?

Should be a good day of Gaelic footy and hope the day is organised well with goal and lines people present and watching and the best refs in charge. I'm liking the Sainters and think they have a style that can handle the big game pressure and they can also get a win up when they have to do it tough. Not saying that WI can't do the same but from what I saw in the semi's the Onka's boys had 70% of the play in the second half but didn't get the chocolates. On the womens game it would be great to see the WI girls get up as they have been steadily improving all year and while that doesn't mean you deserve to win they deserve the opportunity to play in the GF. The influence of their coach and water runner must be doing wonders...Onkas though will be tough and have been the best team all year and for WI to win they would need to play out of their skins.

Heart says St Brendans, unfortunately the head says WI.
For the safety of the Taints players maybe a loss is in order. Going off last friday night the festivities on sunday after a possible victory could be unparalleled!

I tipped Saints a couple of weeks back on this forum. I think they have played within themselves whenever I've seen them. When they have a full squad and they are up for it they are the best in the comp. These mystery injuries that Schimma keeps raving about have the potential to derail the W.I bid also.

It really comes down to a player or two grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck and kicking a bag of scores. I actually wouldn't be surpirsed to see this one go into extra time. Especially if wristy is the ref...

Good plug on the Echo. Even more interesting is the story below...NSW GAA branded irrelevant by the local council. The quote from the Fat Controller about suing is hilarious.

Finally everything we have been telling them for years has been proven right. Silly old gits.

the ankle happened in second half right near the Na Fianna Goals think jolly fell across his ankle. he limped off over the back sideline. In a moon boot now. No Mystery about it. the young lad plays for Mt Lofty and looks like been out for the entire year.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.
