Quite ridiculous as I think we all have topics that we wish the media wouldn't focus on. Quite obviously she knew her comments were going to cause a ruckus.
I just wonder though if she would have had the same reaction - for arguments sake - if Samantha Stosur won Wimbledon, which I'm certain would generate the same media interest.
For mine her argument is a little bit like certain journalists who complain that it's not fair that certain sportspeople don't get the recognition that AFL players and cricketers get but unfortunately that's the way it is as the media focuses - quite rightly - on the sports that most people are interested in and that's coming from someone who was one step away from playing at the international level in a minor sport.

Just been into Super Elliots in the city to get some stuff for my bike, enquired about BMC kit. They've tried to get it but can't, importers in Sydney and Melbourne are stockpiling it for their markets. They've had a fair few requests in the past week for BMC gear. Looks like Cadel's egacyis going to have an impact. I'm tipping lots of BMC knicks on the punters come TDU time and the community ride to Tanunda.

What do u ride AM? having not ridden for about 6 years, i got a cheap heap of sh!t mountain bike from Kmart to get the legs back used to riding, with the plans to get a road bike in about 3 months
