I see a pattern emerging. As in Malaysia, P1 ends with Red Bull way out in front and then the McLarens play catch up in P2 and P3. Same story in China.

Don't be fooled by the P2 times. It's hard to tell what everyone is running with regards to setup and fuel. Webber's lap times looked quick and consistent though with heavy fuel and he was lapping a good second quicker than the McLarens in race trim and quicker than Seb who was also running a similar trim. He got a good 12 laps in on the option tyre, bettering his times each lap, before the tyres started to gradually go off. So tyre wear shouldn't be the issue it was for him in Australia hopefully. In contrast Hamilton complained of excessive tyre wear after just one flying lap on the options.

I just hope that there's no more KERS or rear wing issues with Mark's car, or any other issues (relative to Seb) for that matter...seemed a bit contrived in Malaysia. Hmm..RBR wanted to avoid first corner shenanigans perhaps?? Did anyone notice the several radio messages from pit to Vettel telling him not to use his KERS...he complied, but once the same message was broadcast on air about 3 times his lap times instantaneously increased by over a second a lap on the same set of tyres - i.e. KERS must have been "switched on" again. Call me cynical if you wish, but it looked very staged. Webber was not a happy man after the race despite his great drive through the field with an extra pit stop..

P3 in about half an hour.

Of course webbers KERS wasnt working again and then to see him go out in hard tyres was a joke. To be cut from Q1 is pathetic. Webber has no hope of winning starting from 18th.
Of course vettels car was in top condition. Red Bull are fast becoming a joke

Amazing Q2. Petrov stalled in middle of track and red flag came out with 2 minutes left. There were 9 cars that still wanted to qualify, so we had a mini 2 lap race, great viewing as cars were overtaking each other and schumacher was blocking people. Petrovs gearbox stuffed, relegated from 4th to last. Schumacher missed cut

I fear that Seb is already walking away with this years championship, as he would have done last year if he had some more reliability in the early races

Great stuff from Webber. And Lewis winning makes it alot more interesting. Jenson's pit stop was the funniest thing I've seen in F1 for years.

Can only hope Webber gets off the line better...

Hopefully he's got all his bad luck out the way...

Certainly don't want to see another Vettel win.

Another 1-2 for Red Bull. Webber not good enough again, Vettel showed his class and easily won the race. Poor start cost Webber once again.
