I've had a couple of weeks without internet:
With Cena only a 50-50 chance of being fit for the next PPV, the WWE are hedging their bets, sort of bringing Ryback up to the WWE Title picture, staring down Punk after he levelled Mick Foley, and then having the back of Jim Ross last week, while Cena is still around delivering promos.
I get why the WWE are associating Ryback with loveable legends, to get him over as a face with the crowd, but there's no way he'll beat Punk if they face off at HIAC, so it seems a bit wrong to rush his undefeated streak to an end (I think he's still undefeated).
There's a tag title tournament happening, all of a sudden the division is relevant again.
A re-hash of the old days where the main eventers and upper mid carders with nothing to do are thrown together.
The Rhodes Scholars (Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow) and the unnamed duo of Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio look the most likely challengers, and I think that the masked pair would have to win, to solidify their team, in readiness for a spilt prior to the mask record going on for Wrestlemania.
The World Heavyweight Title scene is awesome at the moment, purely because Alberto Del Rio is not a part of it!
Big Show/Sheamus seems like it has been done to death, purely because Show is not a new character. There would be more excitement if a returning Mark Henry battled Sheamus, even though they had a very lengthy feud prior to Henry ending up on the shelf. Unfortunately though, Henry hasn't returned, and the spice included in the feud is Tensai, who is being rammed down our throats again, at least it is only the B Show.
Talking of B, it is utterly obvious about the lack of respect of the secondary tier titles, The Miz has no feud, and as a former WWE champion, you would think he is a chance to continue bringing the prestige back to the IC title, Rhodes, Big Show, Rhodes, Christian and now Miz are the last champions, but who is the Miz squaring off against? The answer is literally nobody. HIAC is coming up, and I expect Miz to be off the card.
The only difference with the other B Belt, US Title held by Antonio Cesaro, is that he is at a certain level of obnoxious where he can cut a promo at the event, and anyone from Tyson Kidd to Dolph Ziggler could come out and fight him for the belt, and the lack of emotional investment from the fans in Cesaro means that it doesn't matter if he loses, but if he beats someone, especially a Kidd or Zack Ryder, then the heel heat he would gain would be like gold dust.
Mentioning Ziggler, when the hell is Mr Money in the Bank cashing in? Sheamus has held the World Title That's Not A World Title since Wrestlemania, and feuded with Alberto Del Rio and Daniel Bryan over it. Bryan's now a tweener on the A Show, and another old hack in Big Show is back in the fold for the belt.
I now expect Big Show to be the number one contender to the World Title come Wrestlemania, but by that time as a face.
He will do this by winning against Sheamus (likely due to the returning Mark Henry) at some point before Mania, after which he will have another super short reign (about a minute) as Ziggler cashes in, ruining Show's hopes for one last run.
This sets up a Wrestlemania Title ReMatch, with Show's career on the line, and Ziggler gets the rub Jericho couldn't give him by retiring the giant.
