Speaking of the A's Jim, they must be starting to have flashbacks to 2002 at the moment. They lost 9 games in a row at one stage in May but now they've won 17 of their last 20 games to sit only 4 and a half back from Texas.
Apparently the $710000 contract I mentioned for Andrew McCutchen a little while back is right as at the early stages of the season but he has since signed the biggest contract in Pirates history - 6 years for 51.5M

Righto, have to put a plug in for these guys in China.

Junior Boon wanted a Texas shirt, I was after a White Sox. Embroided with our surname on the back and our number of choice ( 32 for Junior - Hamilton, 34 for me - Floyd ) took just over two weeks, arrived in perfect order and I couldn't be happier.

If they aren't legit they are as close as you could get to it and the quality of the name/number is top notch. Not plastic iron on shit.

You want a jersey, check 'em out. With delivery, two shirts, under $150
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

Another perfect game today, this time from Mariners ace Felix Hernandez, the first in franchise history. Amazingly that's three perfect games this season and we still have a fair way to go!

Also Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera rubbed out for 50 games for testing positive for testosterone... I guess that explains why he's been putting up career numbers this season!

Explains a lot that does
Big blow for the Giants who don't seem to have any momentum at the moment.
Lincecum is all over the shop, Its going to be tough to win the Div now
Posey is putting up some big Numbers in the last month is one good sign for the future.

the National are for real but, Interesting what they are going to do with their gun pitcher Strasburg who had elbow ligament surgery last year and management have said all along they will shut him down when he gets to a certain amount of inns. Surely if they go deep into the playoffs he will pitch again.

Braves will get one of the wild-cards I should imagine, and I see Cardinals sneaking the other one just ahead of SF/Dodgers.

I really want Pittsburgh to make it,but they seem to have lost their mojo at the moment and being swept by the Padres has me thinking they might have to wait another year.At least a winning season is a possibility after 20 losing ones in a row.

Also some Oakland pitcher has been suspended for 50 games for PEDs.The 2nd in a week.

Yankees swept by the White Sox, they have embarassed us in both series this season.
Lead over the Rays in the AL East cut to 3 games.
At least it looks like Boston are going to finish near the bottom of our division

Jim, you barrack for Norwood and Essendon, but FINALLY we agree on something. GO YANKEES!

And I CAN'T stand Boston either. hehehe! So far it's been a good season. Another reason I hated Boston was Youk. He's now gone to the WS. Any coincidence we can't beat them now?

Did you see that he created a fake website blaming some "juice" on his positive test? And for all that MLB investigate and only uphold his penalty. What a joke.

The Dodgers new owners seem to be well cashed up.

Gonzalez,Crawford,Punto and Beckett all joining LA from Boston in return for Loney and a package of prospects.

Will laugh if they miss out after forking out all that dosh,so c'mon San Fran.

Must admit I'm missing the bearded madman closing for SF this season. That man makes me laugh.

Boston must be out of their minds. An ESPN report stated that Magic Johnson and the new owners are hell-bent on turning the Dodgers into the NY Yankees of the west coast and the Boston buy-out is the first big step. A pox on them

Dodgers will always be crap.
The club has a losers mentality and that wont change no matter how many players come in.
And LOL at them even comparing themselves to the Yankees

Are u serious they just offloaded $250 million dollars in salary for the next 5 years to the Dodgers and got some decent prospects in return
They can start from scratch with prospects and some free agents with plenty of money to spend.
The Dodgers got Gonzalez who is a monster but Beckett & Crawford are massively overrated and they are stuck with their massive contracts.
I hate the Dodgers and hope it ends all in tears

The Wild thing Brian Wilson he is a nutter, He has been severely missed as the closer. But SF are still hanging in there and would love them to win the Div ahead of the Dodgers.
