And agreed re Flinders, they are definitely at their strongest since I started playing gaelic footy. Seem to have picked up a few good Irish guys, and are a lot better than the Flinders of previous years. How long would it have been since they won 4 in a row?

Dale Agius and Val Ward have taken on the coaching reigns and have devised a game plan built around team work and quicker ball movement. Obviously (as swooper eluded to eariler)- we were very much a side built around individual players and had a lot of selfish characters (whom have since been moved on) and have brought in an influx of irish lads who are great on field leaders to lads learning the game and great characters off the field.
By no means are we walk up challengers for the Hannigan this season, but work is now in progress to see us begin to challenge for the Hannigan title in the next few seasons and build away from the Division 2 success, that whilst its great to have, can quickly settle on a mediocre mindset.

Many many years. They made a GF in 99 so maybe then. They are sitting 3-1 BTW not 4-0.

That's how it looked yesterday. The solo is a skill, knowing when and how to use it even more so. Dale is a legend and a bloke that won't take shit from selfish individuals. It was even nice that some of the Flinders old boys were out watching on Sunday. Even your Irish lads seem to be team orientated and I'm afraid that's not always the case. If you keep that group together and play team football you will ascend to finals sooner rather than later.
Just to spice up the forum would you care to name some of the selfish individuals that have moved on

I believe there's been 4 reds in the 4 games I've played in this season, while I wouldve only seen 1-2 in the previous 50 games I've been involved with... It feels like the refs have been more liberal with the yellow's too.
