Yankees sweep the Braves, now have the best record in the AL.
Huge series coming up against the Nats, both sides on a 6 game winning streak.

San Francisco's Matt Cain throws the 2nd perfect game of the season backed up by 10 runs from his offense. Was the first Perfect game in the history of the Giants and included a massive 14 punchouts!

The Giants are doing very well at the moment 3.5 games back on the Dodgers, if we can get Lincecum back to his dominating best LOOK OUT

Agreed, Cain is a star!

Giants looking good now, Cabrera and Pagan are great pick ups and to get Posey back and healthy has been a massive boost. If Timmy can get back to his best, certainly makes for a fearsome rotation with Zito also producing this season.

A perfect game is remarkable.

Can remember a former great pitcher saying that it was hard to pitch a no-hitter "because you can be pitching your best stuff and then late in game a hitter who has no idea will drop their bat on something that barely carries the infield". To think that a perfect game is even superior to that !!!!!!!!!

Interesting that one of the success stories of the year in 37 year old Mets knuckleballer R.A. Dickey - who currently has a 10-1 record - is going to have his club appeal for him that the hit that was scored off his pitching in a recent one hitter he threw recently against Tampa Bay, was not a hit in their opinion.

A perfect game is not allowing anyone to get on base.
A no hitter doesnt always mean a perfect game because you can walk the batsmen

Only the 22nd perfect game in MLB history. Has been the season for no hitters thus far with Weaver from the Angels, Santana from the Mets, a combined 6 pitcher effort from the Mariners and also perfect games from Chicago's Humber (his only win for the season) and now Cain.

Saw the R.A Dickey questionable hit that they believe should be ruled an error, don't think they will get that overturned unfortunately for him!

Yankees prevail 5-3 in a 14 innings epic. Teixeira with a double in the 14th.
Currently on a 8 game winning streak, finish the series against the Nats tomorrow and then the Braves come to town
