Yes the Whalers and Nordiques probably deserved to go as they were making losses. Felt for the Jets a little but was very upset when the North Stars moved from a traditional hockey area in Minnesota to the desert of Texas. Cant stand any Texan sides so it gave me another side to hate

Well that is two teams Atlanta has Lost to Canada.
Strangers to win in shoot out and the Caps drop on to the Panthers at this stage.
Thing is Hockey does not work in the South. it has been proven but Bettman will not listen to the people. Because he was in the NBA before the NHL he knows all. Mind you since he has been in charge the NHL has had 2 lockouts and looking at a third soon.

I think that was one of the reasons they wanted to put the 2 Florida teams in with the Leafs and Habs group is that those 2 Canadian teams have massive following and will help boost crowds in Florida.
