woodublieve12 wrote:Ok watched Bound for glory ppv last night. honestly i actually thought it was pretty good...
Austin Aries def Brian Kendrick TITLE RETAINED - Very good match. great way to start the show, very similar to the way wcw started ppv's with the cruiserweights, which were one of gthe best matches on the card... 8.5/10 Yep, good match and Aries is a gun (despite being campy and arrogant, he's well liked by fans)
RVD def Jerry Lynn in a hardcore match - ok match, rvd is quite slow now, almost time to give it away. but they both pulled off a couple of OMG moments... the powerbomb of the outside ring apron by lynn and the coast to coast by RVD was very cool. also it was good to hear the ECW chants throughout the crowd. there was also some bothces whiched looked quite bad. 5/10 Maybe a bit harsh here, but I don't disagree entirely. RVD is still effective because of his unique style. Took a nasty knock in that outside ring powerbomb. Lynn is pretty ordinary.
Crimson def Matt Morgan and Samoa Joe CRIMSON STILL UNDEFEATED IN TNA - another good match, samoa joe is very good but he badly needs a costume change. Crimson and Matt Morgan need some work and aren't as polished as SJ. about crimson are we seeing another Goldberg streak?????? 7/10 Morgan and Joe had a much better match at the previous PPV. They're trying to build Crimson but he wasn't over with the crowd because Joe remains a fan favourite even as a vicious heel. Yeah Joe looks like a slob, but he is a gun wrestler.
Mr Anderson def Bully Ray in A FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE match - this match was good... as JR says it was a slobber knocker. i was a fan of anderson when he was in wwe as i was bubba/bully ray. good to see some blood back. 8/10 Pretty brutal match, both will be feeling the effects for a while.
It comes out that James Jackson, referee in the Hogan/Sting match is Eric Bischoff's son (unsure if this is storyline) - they could have done this better... yep, this was leaked out ages ago
Velvet Sky def Madison Rayne, Mickie James and Winter with special referee Karen Jarrett TITLE CHANGES HANDS - this match was painful, not because of the knockouts, because they are very talented. much better then the diva's dib in the wwe. but it was painful because of the involvement of karen Jarrett... she is so annoying. could have been a been a much better match... 2/10 fast forwarded through most of it
AJ Styles def Christopher Daniels in an I QUIT Match. Daniels beat down Styles post-match - another good match, but could've been better. a very poor finish to this match i thought. solid match though, again great to see blood in it. as in the rvd and lynn match there was a couple of botches.. AJ i rate very much, love to see him in the wwe... 6/10 Both top wrestlers and the I Quit gimmick was wasted on them
Sting def Hulk Hogan to GIVE CONTROL OF TNA TO DIXIE CARTER - if anyone thought this match was goin to be anything more then what it was you're kidding yourself. Hogan took more then 1 bump he took 3, i counted last night. i didnt take this match to seriously, it was what it was. and definitly not as painful as i thought it would be to watch, but i thinks its time Hogan, Flair give it away its becoming a joke (ive never really been a big hogan fan anyways). Stinger i love but he wouldnt have much time left either, love to see him in the wwe for just a small run... the thing with bischoff son was done pretty badly...he really didnt have much impact... 4/10 Sting is actually in pretty good shape, but couldn't do much so Hogan wouldn't look totally pathetic. He won't ever go to the WWE because he doesn't trust Vince. Did like the crowd's pops for Flair and Hogan hulking up though.
Kurt Angle def Robert Roode. TITLE RETAINED - this was a good main event, angle was not 100% that was easy to see. Roode is talented.. Just on Angle i think he's lost alot since he left the E, but he still is very good. shame that none of the 2 got a clean win but none the less it was a really good match. 8/10 Most expected Roode to win this, so this a shock result actually. Apparently a last minute decision (allegedly influenced by Hogan), but Roode should eventually get the belt. Very good match -I thought the submission reversals were pretty well done.
finally, i was really surprised by this ppv. i really enjoyed it except the knockout match (which usually are really good)... The production quality has ALOT of work to do and the weekly show has to get better, but TNA produced a really good PPV and that should be something to work on. Loved the blood....
Fair comments. They obviously don't spend megabucks like WWE do, so they'll probably stuggle to significantly improve the production quality. Wrestling wise I would've thought TNA has its fair share of equal or better talent and can have better matches without the WWE's restrictions. Destination X was a pretty good PPV earlier this year.

woodublieve12 wrote:Watched it last night. good ppv... give a really quick rundown of each match. put in spoilers just in case you dont wanna see yet. these are just my opinions...WWE Tag Team Titles: Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger vs. Air Boom - good start to the ppv... 5.5/10
WWE United States Title Match: Zack Ryder vs. Dolph Ziggler - another good match. obviously ziggler won with outside help. 5.5/10
WWE Divas Titles: Eve Torres vs. Beth Phoenix - this is by far the best diva's match ive seen in a LONG time... Natayla and Kelly Kelly were barred from ringside. I was really impressed by this match and i cant believe im goin to give this a higher rating then the previous 2 matches. 7/10
Sheamus vs. Christian - This was a really good match, anything christian is in is always good. Sheamus is growing on me too. 7.5/10
The Miz and R-Truth vs. CM Punk and Triple H - i'l start by saying HHH has not lost a beat. H and Punk were goin to win until the surprise return of Kevin Nash... 8/10
Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton - i expected a lot more from this match... not surprised by the winner and im happy he won, but to be honest i thought Orton sort of carried the match... 6/10
World Heavyweight Title: Big Show vs. Mark Henry (no result) - Considering the size of these two blokes you'd be excused if you thought this match would be borring. however you couldnt of asked for a better match... it was entertaining and at a pretty good pace. top 2 matches on the card by far and very close to the best. the massive chokesloam of the top rope and the HUGE superplex by Mark Henry to finish the match and broke the ring was AWESOME (which i know its been done before). youtube this match you'll be very surprised. - 9/10.
Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Title: John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio - this match starts on a broken ring from the previous match. John Larinitis mite need to explain the safe work place... This match also surprised me... considering with the state of the ring they had to deal with.... IMO this was the best match of the night, fought inside the ring moved it backstage then back out to the ring again. Cena put Del Rio through the spanish announce table (poor guys) thought that was the end then awesome truth came out and cost cena the match. Sets up for the Survivor Series really well... ADR was really good, but i know im goin to cop flack for this, but John Cena was really good. He has really upped his match quality over the last couple of months. 9.5/10...
this ppv sets up for Survivor series really well and RAW today should be a beauty.
