this is his best chance to win a Major.

Djokovic will start fav and should do so, as he has had a sensational last 2 weeks. I dont think he has dropped a set and he disposed of Fed in fairly good fashion.

x2

He is scottish and as far as i am aware it is the poms who claim instead of he claiming them due to their own ineptness in yet another racquet sport they invented. I hope he gets to the final and then may the best man win.

Funny you say that. Theres a englishmen at my tennis club whos has only come over in 2005 or 2006 and i asked him why do you poms claim murray when he's doing so well but reject him once he loses and he told me that Murray is the one who doesn't accept to being a pom. Which i like but he's still a wank and i hope Ferrer destroys him.

While it's a very entertaining game, for me, it sums up why I can't see Andy Murray winning a Slam in the next few years. Very deft, has a great tennis brain, but will get outmuscled a lot by the more powerful players like Djokovic. Physically not able to match it as well.

Djokovic will win. He's right up there with Nadal and Federer, make no mistake. The winner of Fed v Novak was going to be the Aus open champ once Nadal was out.

Murray will win one one day though. But probably in 2-3 years.

My prediction is 2014 Fed retires from about #7 in the world after losing a semi against someone like Murray or Monfils at the US open, Nadal will be forced into retirement with knee troubles around the same time and Djokovic will be #1 for 100+ weeks from that time onwards.

I wouldn't be soo sure on that.
He HATES the heat, and it's forecast to be 40 degrees in Melboune.
Murray has played all bar 1 match in the daytime, whilst from memory Djokovic has played a fair few night games.
Line ball this match.
I'm going to say Murray can get up here.

Going to be the most boring mens final for quite sometime, no Federer, no Nadal = boring.....

Murray and Novak two biggest knobs going around in tennis (apart from Lleyton Hewitt).

Whats everyones thoughts on Federer? is he slowly starting his demise from the top or has he still got plenty left? hope he does have plenty left he is my favourite player, always plays every match out no matter what like a true champion and always gracious in defeat.... never really seen him say a bad word bout anyone, i love you roger.

Federer is far from done but his aura of invincibility is disappearing. A lot of guys were mentally defeated before they played him but now guys arent afraid to play him as much

Fair call Jim.

Rafa summed it up nicely after his loss to Ferrer about how hard the men's tour is ... preparation, mental and physical fitness, etc, and you only have to be just a fraction off and you get eaten up.

Federer's record is remarkable and the fact he's still a serious threat in every grand slam is testamony to that, but you can't hold back the tide forever.

Let's hope Rafa's body holds up as well.
